THE ECOLOGY OF RELATIONSHIP Find a powerful way to connect to yourself and your creative self through nature. |

Black River Farm & Wilderness, situated on 330+ acres of River, Forest and Farmland in Madoc Township, is part of our family’s intergenerational collaborative effort to protect Land, conserve wild habitat, and honour our relationships with the natural world as integral to our well-being. For the last decade, in Spring and Fall, groups have arrived here for weekend and longer retreats, to make connection, wander in the wonder of fresh Water Springs, Waterfalls, Canadian Shield Rock formations, explore dreams and be nourished.
How can we manifest what we yearn for when we are not present to what is calling us?
Presently we are in a global crisis and at this time we are called to be proactive and to nurture all of our relations. With Nature as our guide we use meditative activities: music, poetry, journaling, artwork, meditation and walkabouts, as catalysts. We can experience our creative selves in conversations that include Nature, one another, and the Unseen about what is happening. Around Fire we can find the questions that help to connect us to the deepest parts of ourselves: our joy, grief, longing, and desire to manifest what we truly want in our lives. It is our birthright to feel our connection to life in resonance with what is truly alive. Nature is our greatest teacher in uniquely mysterious ways if we allow Nature to penetrate “...every step, an anticipation, a curiosity, a wonder, pointing me in a direction….”
Learning practices that help us turn toward what is challenging to face, we can become more resilient and present.
